Privacy Policy for Colour Critters

Colour Critters is a colouring game for young children, published by Little Paddock Games in Australia ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information when you or your child use the app.

The short version

• We do not collect any personal information from you or your child.
• The app has no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
• The app does not send anything over the internet. Everything your child makes stays on your device. The only online step is membership, which your device's app store handles.

Information we collect

None. We do not collect, receive, store on our servers, sell or share any information about you or your child. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and the app does not contain any third-party software that does.

Information stored on your device

The app saves the following on your device only, so that your child's world is still there next time:

• the creatures your child has coloured (which animal, which colours, and when it was made)
• your settings (sound on or off, music on or off)
• the age your child picks on the home screen (a number from 4 to 10), which only sets how many colouring tools the game shows. It is not a date of birth and it is never sent anywhere
• whether a membership is active

This information never leaves your device through the app. We cannot see it. If you use your device's own backup service (such as iCloud Backup or Google's device backup), the app's saved data may be included in that backup under your own account and that provider's terms.

Permissions

The app does not ask for access to the camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location or any other personal information on your device.

Membership

Colouring needs a paid membership (monthly or yearly). It can only be bought from the parents' area, behind a parental gate. Payment and renewal are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details. The app asks the store only whether a membership is active.

Children's privacy

Colour Critters is designed for children, including children under 13. Because we collect no personal information, there is nothing for us to ask a parent's consent for, and nothing we could disclose or delete.

• United States (COPPA): we do not collect personal information from children as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
• Australia (Privacy Act 1988): we do not collect personal information as defined by the Act, so the Australian Privacy Principles about collection, use and disclosure are not engaged. If you believe we hold personal information about you or your child, contact us and we will respond.
• European Union and United Kingdom (GDPR and UK GDPR, including the rules for children): we do not process personal data through the app. No data is transferred to us or to any other country by the app.

Links that leave the app (this policy, the terms and our contact email) and membership are kept in the parents' area, behind a parental gate.

Deleting your child's creations

In the app, open the parents' area and choose "Reset world". Removing the app from your device also removes everything it has saved.

This website

The Little Paddock Games website has no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no forms. It does not load anything from other companies. Like every website, the company that hosts it keeps short-lived technical logs (such as the address a page request came from) to keep the service running and secure. We do not use those logs to identify anyone.

If you contact us

If you email us, we will receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use that only to reply to you, and we delete support emails within 12 months. Please do not include personal details about your child.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects privacy, we will update this policy and the date at the top before the change is released. If we ever planned to collect personal information, we would ask for a parent's permission first.
